Call Committee: On Sunday, August 27, we held a Call Service and the congregation voted unanimously to extend a Call to Rev. David Schroeder of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Excelsior, MN. Please keep him, his current congregation, and Advent in your prayers that the Lord might lead him to a clear decision as to where He wants him to serve. Pastor Dave will be visiting Advent and the area from the afternoon of Monday, September 18 through the morning of Wednesday, September 20. His itinerary while he’s here is still being planned. He will give us a decision by Sunday, September 24. We will update you via email, bulletin announcements, and our website as soon as we hear anything.
Rally Day: This Sunday we resume Sunday School, Confirmation Class, and Sunday morning Adult Bible Class. Please join us at 9:15 a.m. Mid-week evening Bible Studies and Choir Rehearsal also start up again. Check your newsletter for days and times.
75th Anniversary Celebration: Our Savior Lutheran Church in Raleigh will be celebrating its 75th anniversary this Sunday, September 10, 2017 with a Worship Service at 4:00 p.m. The guest preacher will be Rev.
